Dry Fruits Milkshake

This recipe is my entry for the event "Shhh!!! Cooking Secretly" challenge started by Priya Suresh.  For this month, I have paired with Sangee Vijay of Spicy Treats and the ingredient given by her was Dry Fruits and Cardamom.

I have used both the ingredients and prepared a delicious, highly nutritious and also refreshing drink!

This recipe is perfect to serve during festive occasions and parties; for extra richness you can serve it with the scoop of ice cream!

Ingredients:

Dates - 5 (De-seeded)
Dried Figs - 4
Raisins -10
Pistachios - 6 to 7

Almonds - 8
Cardamom powder - ½ tsp
Milk (chilled) - 2 ½ to 3 cups
Sugar or Honey - to taste (optional)

Directions:

Soak the dates and figs in ½ cup hot milk for 30 minutes or till it becomes soft.

Add raisins, all nuts and soaked dates, fig in blender / mixer. Grind into a smooth paste and add milk, cardamom powder, icecubes and honey.

Blend well till it becomes smooth and frothy; Serve immediately.

Note:

Feel free to substitute any of your favorite nuts and dry fruits.

Add sugar or honey if necessary; but I like to have it with the natural sweetness of dry fruits.
