This is a perfect, healthy ( tasty too!!) accompaniment for Idli / Dosa Varieties. Give it a try!

Kollu Sundal / Horse Gram Sundal
Horse Gram Podi(Powder) / கொள்ளு பொடி
Ingredients:
Kollu / Horse gram - 2 tbsp
Red chiilies - 2 to 3
Coconut - ½ cup
Tamarind - small gooseberry size
Salt - as required
For Tempering:
Oil -1 ½ tsp
Mustard seeds -½ tsp
Urad dhal - ½ tsp
Curry leaves - 4 or 5 leaves
Directions:
Heat a tsp of oil in a kadai, add kollu and fry till the roasted aroma rises and the colour changes to slightly brown in colour. Keep aside.
In the same kadai, add red chillies and tamarind. When the chillies got fried add coconut and saute for a minute; switch off the gas. Allow to cool.
Add everything along with little water in the mixie or blender.
Grind it into a smooth paste. Adjust consistency as required by adding water.
You can also try adding garlic for different taste.

Transfer to a suitable container.
Take another pan, add oil and temper with mustard seeds, urad dhal and curry leaves; pour it over the chutney.
Now the healthy cum tasty chutney is ready to eat.
