Apple Dates Milkshake

This is a tasty and nutritious drink with wonderful combination of dates and apples with a natural sweetness.


Serves - 1 or 2 (approximately)

Ingredients:

Apple - 1(peeled and chopped)

Dates - 5 to 6 (De-seeded)
Milk - 1.5 to  2 cups 
Ice cubes - 2  to 3
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Honey - to taste(optional)




Directions:

Soak the dates in ½  cup hot milk for 30 minutes or till it becomes soft.

Place chopped apple and soaked dates in blender / mixer; Grind into a smooth paste and add in the remaining ingredients.

Blend well till it becomes smooth and frothy; Serve immediately.

Note:

I didn't add honey for the milkshake, because there is enough sweet from dates and apple.

  1. That is one healthy shake. Apple with fiber & Dates with iron. Would be great for a breakfast!! Love it.
    Honey is a good idea instead of sugar any day.
