Tuna Masala

Tuna fish contains high-quality proteins and is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids.  Here is an easy to make, delicious dish using canned Tuna.

Ingredients

Canned tuna fish - 1 (185 gms)
Onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger garlic paste - 1 ½ tsp
Green chilli - 1 or 2
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Corriander powder - ½ tsp
Jeera (Cumin seeds) - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 or 3 tsp

Directions

Drain the oil or water from the can and keep aside.

Heat oil in a kadai; add cumin seeds and chopped green chilli.  After it crackles, add the finely chopped onions.

Saute till the colour changes; then add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, corriander powder and salt.

Now add the drained tuna; saute for 2 minutes and mix well.

Then close the lid and allow it to cook in medium flame, till the fish is done (no need to add water).

Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chappati or use as a filling for Sandwich.
